Object:
vdB96 reflection nebula and NGC2362 OCL in Canis Major
Notes:

VdB 96 is a reflection nebula in the constellation Canis Major. It is part of the molecular cloud LDN 1660 and is mainly lit by HD 57281, a blue star of B5V class, which gives the surrounding gas a markedly bluish color. In the darkest part of the nebula there are active star formation phenomena, as evidenced by the presence of giant molecular jet HH72. This jet is made up of several components, the most obvious of which are called HH 72 A, B and C, and they are also visible in the band of visible light. At the left side NGC2632 OCL is visible. Its brightest star is Tau Canis Majoris, and therefore it is sometimes called the Tau Canis Majoris Cluster. NGC 2362 has a distance of 1.48 kpc and is a relatively young 4–5 million years in age. It is a massive open cluster, with more than 500 solar masses.[4] The cluster is in relation with the giant nebula Sh2-310, that lies at the same distance.
