Invading the constellation of Vela is this ominous dark dusty cloud. Catalogued as FEST 1-109, it belongs to the FEST catalogue of dark nebulae, which was published in 1984 by the astronomers Johannes Feitzinger and Janine Stuwe and contains 820 dark nebulae in total.
