This attractive group stands out against a background powered with faint satrs. Many stars are in chains and loops, and there are many pairs and small groups, including a somewhat skew miniature of Crux. This image shows the stars to be embedded in faint nebulosity rather reminiscent of the Pleiades.

The distance of this cluster is about 500 pc.
