Notes:

IC 5052 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBd: in the constellation Pavo (The Peacock) on the southern starry sky. It is an estimated 23 million light-years away from the solar system and shows us in edge position.

The object was discovered on 23 August 1900 by the astronomer DeLisle Stewart and later recorded by Johan Dreyer in his index catalog.
